Fujitsu is stepping up its efforts to bring more partners into virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) market by offering resellers higher margins, it says.
It has made two pre-configured "out-of-the-box" VDI solutions available to partners - one Microsoft HyperV-based, the other one is VMware-based, both of which are built on Fujitsu's PRIMERGY server platform.
Additionally, partners that qualify for the company's SELECT Expert Workplace accreditation can claim an additional rebate of up to 10% on Fujitsu ‘s FUTRO family of products, the company says.
The Fujitsu FUTRO range offers fully-automated rollout and easy management.
Simon Worsfold, channel and enterprise sales director for Fujitsu UK & Ireland: "The VDI hype cycle is well past its peak and we are now at the stage where companies want to look seriously at pilot projects and actual adoption. We have tried and tested a partner programme that's delivering great results."
"IP telephony and SIP are now widely accepted. The connectivity has become more affordable and businesses are moving key services to the cloud. We see a majority of new RFPs requesting hosted."
