Datasharp's Annual Principals Meeting was hailed as 'the best conference yet' by speakers and delegates. Industry players such as AltiGen Communications, ShoreTel, Siemens and LG-Nortel addressed the 80 strong Group; and in his opening presentation, Roy Carter, MD of Datasharp UK, congratulated the Group on their growth and achievements, having received a string of awards.
Paul Fullman, UK Sales Director, Datasharp UK, set the theme - Unified Communications: "We have been constantly investing in growing our knowledge and experience at delivering complete business solutions for our customers," said Paul Fullman. "The importance of this strategy during these tough economic times cannot be understated. By providing competitive, technology rich solutions to our customers, we are able to empower them to meet their own specific business challenges."
Jerry Fleming, President and COO AltiGen Communications, noted: "The Principal's Meeting is further demonstration of Datasharp's commitment to Unified Communications. It's clear that AltiGen's Microsoft-based Unified Communications solution along with the expertise of Datasharp represents a perfect match."
Tom Perry, Director of Marketing EMEA, ShoreTel, added: "In just eight months Shoretel has established a fantastic relationship with Datasharp and its offices throughout the UK. The Principal's Conference was the chance to hammer home our architecture and application advantages. The conference has given us a wonderful opportunity to get feedback on the Shoretel products and services and inform Datasharp about the future of Shoretel."
Michael Dixon, owner of Datasharp Telephony Solutions, summed up the feeling of the day: "Principals meeting 09 was innovative, informative, productive and delivered with panache. It is a pleasure being part of the Datasharp Family."
Roy Carter concluded: "Our Group success in winning a number of significant sales in the unified communications market is celebrated by all of our members - working together is our strength. We strive to hold an event that busy sales people actually look forward to attending, learn a lot from and are entertained by all at the same time.
"Our members enjoy the support, the knowledge and portfolio we can offer them - it's why we've been so successful. The atmosphere is fantastic and it's great for members to meet each other and our suppliers in both a formal and, later in the evening, very informal way. I am delighted with how the Datasharp Group is growing and I know I speak for everyone when I say that we are all looking forward to our continued success and recognition as a dominant force in the communications space."

'If you are worried about laying off engineers, why not re-deploy them in sales while the installations side picks up? You often find that the best dealers are former engineers who have a broad knowledge of the industry, who customers trust to give them sound advice and a solution that works for them.'
