Daisy Group has achieved Health & Social Care Network (HSCN) compliance, enabling it to partner with NHS trusts, care commissioning groups, GP surgeries and a range of other health sector organisations.
Daisy Group Head of Frameworks Lynne Magennis said: "Genuine competition within the healthcare connectivity market will drive up standards of reliability, security and service - all areas in which Daisy scores highly."
Under the operating terms of the new HSCN, health and care providers will be able to obtain network connectivity from multiple suppliers in a competitive marketplace and in collaboration with other health and social care organisations.
Once suppliers have demonstrated adherence to the HSCN standards, they are permitted to sell HSCN connectivity as an HSCN compliant supplier.
