Channel network and IT support services firm Comms-care has introduced a Rapid Response Service to cut through congested traffic on city roads, enabling engineers to respond quicker to network faults and reduce travel time to customers.
The Rapid Response Team will be equipped with high specification motorcycles - the Honda CBF600 -equipped with shock and water proof panniers capable of carrying all of the necessary equipment to deal with site visits.
Ewan Conlon, responsible for service delivery at Comms-care, said: "The Rapid Response Team will strengthen our service greatly, and I see this type of initiative growing in London and other cities across the UK.
"Our channel partners in London will benefit from a higher level of support. We will be able to quickly respond to any fault call well within the SLA, increasing service availability to our customers."
Comms-care also sees this move as a step forward in reducing its carbon footprint by using more efficient methods of transport.
