Beyondis to distribute Avistar’s patent protected C3 desktop technology

Reading-based distributor of VoIP and videoconferencing products, Beyondis, has struck a distribution deal with video collaboration platform provider Avistar Communications. Under the terms of the agreement Beyondis will offer US-based Avistar's patent protected C3 desktop technology to its resellers throughout the UK.

Darren Innes, General Manager, Worldwide Sales, Avistar, said: "Avistar desktop videoconferencing increases the ‘stickiness' that resellers want in their relationship with customers. It expands their ability to meet their customers' needs, and it offers a whole new product area that is proven, cost-effective and easy to use. They'll quickly find that it will help them in existing customer installations as well as open new doors for them.

Andy Aikman, Technical Director at Beyondis, added: "More and more, customers want the convenience of videoconferencing without having to schedule a room. With Avistar, they can have videoconferencing from their home, desktop or hotel room - essentially anywhere they have their laptop.

"We expect that Avistar desktop videoconferencing will be a product initially ordered by management, and then as they use it, they'll want to see it accepted as a company-wide communications tool."
