An award winning vendor of IP phones and IP PABXs has marked the UK launch of its open source embedded IP PBX comms system for SMBs with with a fresh channel campaign and new offices.
Uni-ta Technology won Internet Telephony Product of the Year in last year's world manufacture awards and the company's UK Chief Executive James Murphy forecasts these products to 'revolutionise' the UK communications market in terms of standard features at a price that aims undercut 'any other product currently being sold'.
Product features include Uni-Ta's Asterisk embedded IP PBX system Univox S800, based on uClinux/Blackfin. This offers IP PBX features such as customisable Auto Attendant and IVR.
Murphy said: "By using state-of-the-art embedded technology, the IP PBX provides a solid, uniform platform for voice communications as well as data network communications. IP to landline and mobile calls will cost a fraction of their current call expenditure, with their IP to IP calls absolutely free."
According to Murphy, Uni-ta Technology has been instrumental in driving prices down to less than one half of one cent per minute in China and the United States. He stated that the company is in dialogue with key SMB distributors in the comms channel.
