Extreme Networks joins The Green Grid

Extreme Networks has joined The Green Grid, a global consortium that promotes the adoption of energy efficient standards, processes, measurements and technologies within data centres.

"CIO's overseeing data centres are demanding cost-efficient network solutions where a significant portion of their operational costs can be reduced through energy savings," said Extreme Networks' Regional Director For UK and Ireland, Paul Phillips. "Joining The Green Grid is another example of Extreme Networks ongoing commitment to improving power efficiency with systems, software tools and network designs that reduce energy consumption throughout the network."

Extreme Networks will work with The Green Grid to help develop and deliver energy efficient technologies and best practices for our customers with particular focus on the implementation of green technologies in Ethernet switching solutions targeted at data centres.
