Nimans wastes no time in going green

Nimans is to divert 100% of its waste from landfill following a link up with local firm JWS Waste. The agreement will see over 100 tonnes of waste reprocessed, including tonnes of card, paper, plastics and general waste.

“JWS Waste is working with us to provide a sustainable waste service,” stated Nimans’ Distribution Centre Manager Chris Musgrave.

“This new partnership further strengthens our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy which operates alongside other initiatives such as Gold Investors in People status.”

JWS Business Development Manager Trish Waddington added: “Work has already started, with JWS providing waste compactors and roll-on roll-off containers along with multiple wheelie bins to their various sites in Greater Manchester.

“Going forward, Nimans’ waste will be recycled or used as an energy resource to produce heat and electricity.”
